About Our Church

The Full Circle Family Church is a church of demonstration and service. Our church is not defined by a physical location but by the demonstration of our belief in the efficacy of sharing. Our Church has a residential congregation – all members share housing, vehicles and all “things” in common. We follow Jesus’ teachings in Acts 4:32-35 where it is said that,

³²And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
³³And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
³⁴Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
³⁵And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

We seek to seethe goodness in everyone, for we believe we are all children of God;one large human family, regardless of race, creed or religion. Thoughwe draw heavily from the New Testament, and Jesus’ teachings, wealso draw from Taoist teachings and many other faith paths. Webelieve that God is the Presence, the Life Force and Intelligencethat vibrates through everything and everyone. We believe that eachof us carries God within us and that life is a journey to become evermore present to this miraculous intelligence that created us. Webelieve that much of what we humans must do is to un-learn thenegative conditioning we have inherited. Our church is meant toprovide an environment that supports this kind of spiritual path. Weseek to live by the Golden Rule. We show, through our actions, anattitude of love and forgiveness, and celebration of the miracle oflife, with gratitude for all of God’s gifts that are so freelygiven.

There is no buying or selling amongstmembers of the church. Each gives “accordingto ability” and receives“according to need”.The daily actions of growing, storing and preparing food, and all theother simple practices of living become the ways by which wedemonstrate the highest spiritual teachings of love through serviceand conscious living. Our way of life demonstrates how sharingcreates abundance, satisfaction and health. Our demonstrations extendinto the larger world through such service projects as the “SharingGardensof Alpine and Monroe, Oregon.”

Each of our fully committed members isordained as a student minister once he or she has demonstrated anintegration of the spiritual principles that run as a current throughall we do. Our ministers find their natural niches of service thatbest utilize their skills, gifts and temperaments whether this iswithin the grounds of our community or through service to the largerhuman family. Each ordained minister must understand the principlesbehind the operation of our church such that he or she embodies anddemonstrates these attitudes, beliefs and principles through dailyinteractions and ways of being. Each of us then becomes arepresentative of the whole; a mirror that reflects the best ineveryone else we interact with.

We are a spiritually-based community andeverything in our lives is geared towards supporting anddemonstrating our spiritual beliefs. We are exploring this pathtogether, in a non-hierarchical way that brings forth the highest andbest from each of our members. We invite people who are on a sincerespiritual path and who are ready for a reciprocal relationship withothers of like-mind; people committed to living with presence andmindfulness. We wish to share the abundance of our lives with peopleof faith who are ready to commit to a life of sharing.
